Integrated Business Solutions
Transforming Planning & Analysis in Finance & Operations
BetterVu was founded by Mitch Max and Rob Torok with a view to bringing best and emerging practices in performance management to innovative organizations seeking integrated business solutions.
We are a firm of experienced business consultants, with deep expertise in Performance Management including planning, forecasting, costing and profitability. Our focus has always been the linkage between operational and financial management – long before anyone was talking about Integrated Business Solutions. We became an Anaplan Partner in 2013 because it was a tool that finally allowed us to deliver on the practices that we’ve been gathering, synthesizing, and promoting. So unlike other firms, we put business methods first and then enable our solutions through software. Our team reflects this strategy – experienced practitioners who have become highly proficient in the use of Anaplan as an enabling technology for the processes where we have business expertise.
Over the years, we've expanded to cover a broad set of use cases that extends into the full suite of financial and operational measurement and management, with a focus on delivering integrated business solutions based on Anaplan.
Mitch brings over 25 years of experience in costing, planning and forecasting in multiple industries to each client situation.
He particularly enjoys taking best practices from one industry and bringing it into another. He has over 20 years of performance management experience in Financial Services and as an Anaplan Certified Solutions Architect is building on that knowledge with new experiences in healthcare, technology, service and retail sectors. When not working, Mitch loves to unplug and relax with family and friends at his cottage in Northern Ontario.
Rob brings more than a quarter-century of experience in costing & planning, along with enterprise risk management, from a wide range of industries.
He has held both senior consulting roles as well as corporate leadership positions with responsibilities for planning & budgeting, production & operations, labour relations, and staff management. A native Montrealer, Rob’s passions include golf and hockey. Rob has been known to plan travels to include a round of golf in new destinations, and rarely misses his Friday afternoon hockey game.
Proudly an Anaplan Partner
